At Viforce, we believe that a job is not done until the client is satisfied. We work with our clients to understand their needs and find innovative ways to meet those needs. ADCO Manufacturing, a CA-based packaging automation firm, asked Viforce to upgrade their ancient, DOS-based costing and reporting system to the latest technology. Viforce created a more robust and scalable web-based solution in only 6 weeks, including automating the process of migrating the 1.2+ million records (including records originally migrated from the 1970s when they were paper-based).
We added advanced search and management capabilities not available in the original release, improved the dot-matrix style reports to printer-friendly, browser based reports and the automatic generation of reports of boardroom-quality PDF documents on-demand!
An Australian managed-service provider (name protected for the present), asked Viforce to investigate the quality of several software packages they were considering purchasing in a multi-million dollar deal. Viforce worked with the third party to obtain the information the client required and submitted a thorough, detailed 100-page inventory and evaluation of the software in only three weeks, providing the client with everything they needed to make the best strategic decision.
A client (wishing to remain anonymous) asked Viforce to create a document management system, where companies could upload their scanned images and PDF files. Viforce designed and built such a system in six weeks and provided the following features:
Kingsview, an asset management advisor based in Wall Street, asked Viforce to upgrade their Investment Proposal Generator. Originally written in Visual Basic 6, the proposal generator created 15-page proposals with complex tables, graphs and calculations specific to each customer's unique requirements. Viforce ported the program to VB.NET, making numerous improvement and enhancements in the process.
Given our long history of Basic programming, over 20 years, Viforce was able to complete this project in under 2 weeks, at a tiny fraction of the cost they would have had to pay for older, more established - or even offshore companies - to complete this project.
The University of Nebraska's Biology Department asked Viforce to build a data collection program that would interface with highly specialized and unique laboratory equipment. Given that the equipment needed an MS-DOS based program to operate correctly and the lack of budget for on-site travel from Florida, this challenging task required lateral thought, brainstorming, innovation and the ability to work with a 20-year old software platform.
Unable to analyze the lab equipment directly, Viforce created a series of increasingly complex data gathering solutions to the U of N, and they returned the results. We used these results to build the application they needed, and U of N became another very satisfied customer on Viforce's growing list.
The Narragansett Indian Tribe, based in Rhode Island, asked Viforce to update their website and provide the ability to manage news, events, FAQs and other information. Working closely with the tribal leaders, Viforce designed the site schematics, provided the graphic design and created a custom content management system. We provided them with a detailed instruction manual, just in case. We even built them a simple music player and obtained permission to play Carlos Nakai's music on their site for ambience. One of our first ventures into web design, the Narragansett Tribe's site can be viewed here:
Elite Subcontractors asked Viforce to complete their contractor/ subcontractor directory and bidding application. Elite has requested a number of features since, which Viforce usually completes in 1-4 weeks. Since we began, we have provided Elite with these features:
Mölnycke needed a side-by-side product comparison tool that their sales force could take with them on the road; sales teams needed to give presentations on-site to existing and potential customers in the UK and US while still protecting their data. Viforce built them a desktop application in Adobe Flex/AIR. The application had the following features:
In only 8 weeks, we created an application so well-liked they asked for an online, browser-based version, which we completed in 3 weeks.
Gizzmo Transportation, an independent vehicle courier service, needed an online instant-quote system that also provided them with the capability to process orders, track shipments and manage the workflow. Viforce used PHP, MySQL to build them a web-based solution in only four weeks.
